Intern Positions

Goals

To provide education in the field of professional and amateur sports to dedicated and qualified individuals who seek experience in a fast-paced, exciting environment. The positions offered are meant to better prepare interns for future career advancement whether it be in sports management, communications, public relations, journalism or marketing. Crystal Palace Baltimore internship opportunities are open to all senior high school, undergraduate and graduate college students.  There are a limited number of intern positions available. Positions will be provided to applicants best suited for the program based on specifics of the position being applied for.

Crystal Palace offer non-compensated internships. Applicants should be detail oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks. Minimum time requirement to participate in the intern program is 20 hours per week. Some positions offered may require more than the minimum 20 hours weekly. Hours during the evening, weekends and holidays are necessary when a soccer match is scheduled.

Front Office Administration - (Intern Position)

Front Office intern position with the Crystal Palace office staff is available for a college student or a high school senior for the 2008 season and pre-season. If you are interested in sports management, business management, sales, marketing and public relations we have a great environment to get you started.

Prefer an applicant that is available from March through August but can be discussed. Hours are flexible and can be worked around school/job schedule.

Community and Public Relations - (Intern Position)

Great position for a college student with an interest in the field of public relations and community involvement.  Duties would include assisting the Director of Public Relations in the daily communications of the club, assist in the organization, management and operations of scheduled community events and appearances.  Will provide a great experience in understanding the Public Relations of an organization, community relations, as well as event management.

Ideal candidate would be available from March through mid August. Must be available to work weekends and evening hours. Flexible weekday hours for in-office work.  

Sales & Marketing Department - (Intern Position)

Perfect for a college student pursuing a career in sports marketing.  Duties would include distribution of Crystal Palace promotional materials at arranged events and investigation of events where the organization can promote Crystal Palace while strengthening community support.  The person chosen will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and work closely with the Public Relations and Marketing Manager. 

Ideal candidate would be available from March through mid August. Hours flexible, some weekends required. Must have own transportation.   


Team Operations / Crystal Palace (USL Division 2) - (Intern Position)

Become involved with Crystal Palace, a Division 2 professional team. If you are a graduate student who needs internship hours for school and are looking for hands on/practical experience in all aspects of operations for a professional team, we have a position for you. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to team administration, team travel and accommodation arrangements, preparation of game day documents, assistance to event production and management staff, assist game day operations staff. Will report directly to the Director of Operations and the coaching staff. Some travel may be required since job responsibilities encompass both home and away games.

Applicant needs to be available from March through mid August. Flexible weekday hours as position is mainly related to game preparation/organization on the weekends.  Must have own transportation. 

General Operations - (Intern Position)

Looking for a dedicated, detail oriented, undergraduate or graduate student who is interested in learning all aspects of daily operations of a sports organization.  The position will provide an opportunity to experience all facets of a professional and amateur sports organization, with an emphasis on the daily operations. Must possess strong organizational skills.  Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: team administration, team travel and accommodation arrangements, preparation of game day documents, assistance to event production and management staff, assist game day operations staff.  Intern would assist in team administration,  equipment management/replenishment, coordinate with stadium operations and office administration. 

Ideal candidate available from March through August. Hours would be determined on an individual basis with some flexibility but home game attendance is mandatory. Must have own transportation.
