Baltmore MD - Three of Crystal Palace USA's professional soccer players - Shintaro Harada, Brian Rowland and Val Teixeira - will show their support for youth in the local community when they attend the Grand Opening of Baltimore's newest Boys & Girls Club at Brooklyn Homes Public Housing Development. The event will take place on Thursday January 31st 2008 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at 4140 Tenth St in Baltimore.
Toyota Financial Services (TFS), as part of its Making Life Easier for YOUth initiative is partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore to launch positive like-skills development programs and services for youth and families in and around the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood.
The new Club will provide after-school programs for 150 youth between 6 and 18 years old. Programs will include academic support, career enrichment, character and leadership development, health and life-skills, the arts, sports and fitness and family support resources. In a safe, culturally sensitive, fun and caring environment, the Boys & Girls Club will offer youth a much-needed opportunity to develop a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence and caring. |
